There are two line items: a one-time setup fee calculated from the size of the book when you publish it, and a usage charge that runs as your users chat. Both are drawn from your account balance, and every amount is shown to you before it is spent.

No — it is charged only once per book. For as long as your book stays live, you never pay another setup fee; only actual usage is drawn from your balance.

Your book’s chat is temporarily switched off; your Bookensoul link and your statistics are not lost. The moment you add balance, the link picks up right where it left off, all on its own.

Any text-based content you can think of: from a textbook to a novel, from a manual to a corporate document. You upload it, and your book speaks.

PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX) and TXT files, up to 30 MB. Scanned (image-based) PDFs are supported too; the system automatically applies OCR (optical character recognition) and extracts the text.

Your original file is deleted the moment the text is extracted; the content is kept only to power the bot, is never published anywhere, and is closed to search engines. Bookensoul runs with multi-layered protection against attempts to leak its content or its operating rules. Only upload content you hold the publishing rights to.

Its only source of knowledge is the content you upload. If a question falls outside the book’s scope, it says so plainly — “That isn’t in my pages” — and never makes things up. For publications that must not stray beyond their own content, this is a deliberate design decision.

Yes. If you like, you can turn on access verification per book: users verify themselves with a code sent to their email before entering the chat. It is off by default.

Yes. With the “Persona” feature you give your bot a voice and tone: the hero of your story can chat in their own words. You pick from ready-made templates and edit them. A persona only sets the tone; the bot still answers solely from your book’s content.

Yes. Just upload the new file; the book’s link, QR code and all its settings stay the same, and the bot starts answering with the new content. Your printed QR codes and the links you’ve shared don’t go to waste, and no extra setup fee is charged.

Yes. Paste a single line of code into your site; a chat bubble appears in the corner (you choose its color). If you prefer, you can also place it as a window embedded in your page.

Yes. You choose from a wide range of light and dark themes, set the welcome message and opening questions, and tune the chat bubble’s color to match your brand.

There is no subscription; you pay only for the chats that happen, and the bot costs nothing while idle. You also set the bot’s thinking depth, response length, per-session usage limit and how long it stays awake — striking your own balance of speed, quality and cost.
